5 things I have done to reduce anxiety and depression.

Over the last ten years, I have been involved with anxiety issues and depression on more than one occasion.

This list that I have put together which has helped me tremendously over the last ten years.

1. Learn more about meditation to reduce anxiety and depression.

Over the last ten years searching for answers to why people get anxious and let anxiety and depression ruin there lives. I stumbled across meditation music.

I have always loved music so having something that helped me in a musical form really helped me relax. This help to let go and reduce anxiety and depression.

Go to YouTube you will find plenty of our meditation music or others. You can also download the full version of the tracks from Spotify, Amazon music or Google play store.

Find the best ones that suit you most you can have no music or music in. Listen to it at least once a day for 21 days and you’ll be surprised how you feel after completing it.

2. Limit alcohol and caffeine, which can aggravate anxiety and trigger panic attacks or depression.

If you drink coffee you will need to reduce the amount to a couple, this is due to is being a cause of making you feel jittery and causing anxiety due to it being a stimulating drink.

Even with people predisposed to anxiety disorders, caffeine can trigger a spiral of sensations in you such as sweaty palms, a pounding heart, ringing in the ears that leads to a full-blown panic attack.

3. Doing regular exercise to reduce anxiety and depression.

From my own experience, exercise has helped me with my anxiety and depression. I never used to exercise or enjoy doing exercise. I always had an excuse not to do it. This is maybe where I might have gone wrong with helping my depression.

After studying why it is known to release feel-good endorphins. Natural cannabis-like brain chemicals (endogenous cannabinoids) and other natural brain chemicals that can enhance your sense of well-being. One vigorous exercise session can help alleviate symptoms for hours. and a regular schedule may significantly reduce them over time.

4. Eat balanced meals to reduce anxiety and depression.

Did you know that eating high-calorie foods with very little good nutritional value will possibly influence depression symptoms?

These foods can cause your body to crash and possibly start of anxiety as a result of not eating a balanced healthy diet. Make sure you have plenty of starch eating whole grains and fill up on plenty of fruit and vegetables. Focus on eating fatty fish, like salmon or albacore tuna, in place of red meat. Eat plenty of healthy fats, like raw nuts and olive oil.

This will help you feel miles better and happier. It is tried and took the best parts of each diet to lose my weight which I know have lost all my weight from being depressed and having anxiety.

5. Get enough sleep to reduce anxiety and depression.

From a few different studies I found, I came to the conclusion that it has a massive effect on your current mood. Not having 7-8 hours sleep that your body needs to recover from the previous day.

When you don’t get the 7-8 hours of quality sleep you need, it can heavily influence your outlook on life, energy level, motivation, and emotions. When you are feeling like you feel a little bad that day you don’t know that it is usually down to the lack of sleep.

It all adds up day by day the more you miss say ’20’ minutes here or there each day. This will have an effect on your daily happiness and also affect your family life too. It a must that you get the right amount of sleep to make sure you wake up with more energy and happy every morning.
