Understanding Kundalini Energy – 9 Ideas to Try

Kundalini and Understanding the energy will serve you and your life with great blessings, this is something I learned a long time ago and today I want to share it with you.

To awaken kundalini you must prepare yourself through many yogic techniques like asanas, pranayama, kriya and meditation. When you can direct your breath, prana to your dormant seat of kundalini, the energy wakes and passes through the sushumna nadi, through the central nervous system, to the brain. As it ascends, the kundalini energy passes through each chakra, which are connected with different areas of the brain that are silent. When this energy is awakened there is the dormant areas of the brain start to open and blossom like flowers.


Kundalini Idea 1. Awakening By Birth

Some research has shown that if your parents are highly evolved, you could be born with an awakened kundalini life force already.

You can also be born with your spiritual channels open which is called the shushumna. If you are prosperous enough to be one of these people, then your life experiences just seem to flow. Everything just seems to fall into place in an instinctive way and never really have extensive things happen to them. A child with awakened kundalini will have clarity, vision, an eminent quality of thinking and extraordinary philosophy. They have total detachment and portray very mature behaviors and tend not to react emotionally to anything in life.

Kundalini Idea 2. Mantra

Mantras are a very powerful and risk free method to awaken kundalini, however, it is a Sadhana which takes time and a great deal of patience. You first need to determine a suitable mantra, preferably from a guru who can guide you. Practicing mantras will help you develop your visual senses and higher force which allows you to live life with the inner knowing of being indifferent to everything around you.

Repeating a mantra over and over again creates a sound force that gathers momentum and creates a vibration throughout the ocean of your psyche. When you practice mantras millions and billions of times it permeates throughout the torso and brain, purifying your whole physical, emotional and mental well being.

They must be practiced out loud, softly, on the mental level and psychic plane. By practicing them along all four levels, it is said that kundalini will awaken methodically and systematically.

Kundalini Idea 3. Tapasya

Tapasya means the performance of austerities. It is a means of purification, burning or setting on fire as a procedure of elimination, not physically but emotionally and mentally.  Through this process the whole personality is cleaned of dirt, and behavior patterns that cause pain or distress.

Habits and patterns must be destroyed at the psychic root, not only at the conscious level. Tapasya is a psychological or psycho-emotional process where the individual tries to initiate a process of moving metabolism to eradicate the habits that can cause weakness or the obstruct the awakening of willpower.

Through repetitive practice, the deficiency of the will can be built up by bumping off the distance between resolution and execution. The will power that is frail, then makes a decision once and for all, and the matter is finished. That emotional or mental energy charge is done away with.

Kundalini Idea 4. Herbs

In Sanskrit, this method is called aushadhi, and should not be mistaken as the usage of LSD or other drugs. It is one of the most potent and rapid methods to awaken kundalini, but it is not for everyone and few people know about it. Different herbs in our world can transform the nature of the body and elements to invoke a partial or full awakening.

This method should be used alongside a guru or qualified guide because these herbs awaken Ida or pingala, other herbs can suppress both these needs and quickly lead a person to the mental ward. Ordinary people who were not prepared, competent or qualified, have misused plants and the aushadhi form of waking up. This is a reason you do not want to awaken your kundalini in an impatient manner, as if you are not quick to handle the powers and energies that come with it, schizophrenia or different mental dis-eases an develop.

Soma– a juice extracted from the stalks of a plant, picked on special days during the lunar cycle. After that, it was interred until the full moon and is said to induce visions, experiences and promote awakening of higher consciousness.

The emerging of of individual consciousness with the super-consciousness. It is a sequential process of concentration, meditation and communion. Raja yoga is a mild and durable experience, it can lead to depression and may not feel like doing anything. This path may be difficult for some people as it requires time, discipline and much patience.

The mind is active all the time, it is its nature, therefore it can be difficult on people because when we try to concentrate the mind we create a split mind. So practice should be done progressively. Once awakening happens through raja yoga, the person can move past hunger, habits or addictions.

Kundalini Idea 6. Pranayama

If a person who is readily prepared and practices the method of pranayama intensely, in an environment that is restrained, cool and peaceful, if it’s possible at high altitudes can help. Along with a diet that is just enough to sustain life, kundalini can awaken in an instant explosion!

Pranayama is a direction to focus on the breath control as well as a way to increase the Prana in the body… It really is so much more. Pranayama is a very potent way to awaken kundalini by creating heat in the body, the yogic fire.

The excess heat created in the body can awaken different centers of the brain.

Kundalini Idea 7. Kriya Yoga

It is one of the most uncomplicated ways of modern day society, as it does not require confrontation of the mind. If you have monkey brain, or noisy mind it can be difficult to awaken kundalini through raja yoga… This will cause more tension, tension, guilt or different mental frustrations. Through Kriya yoga, the kundalini awakens slowly and softly. Opening her eyes and then closing them, looking around, bending her head, stretching.

Kundalini Idea 8. Tantric Initiation

A secret way to waken. People with transcended passions and those who possess a great understanding of Shiva and Shakti are said to be entitled. Those who carry different urges, or need physical contact, this is the quickest path to awakening. Transformation is taking place without you yet knowing. It can take place in 3 seconds.

This method is practiced by the guru. It is an instant awakening, a glimpse, it is not lasting. You will experience Samadhi and can practice all asanas, pranayamas, mudras and bandhas. The interesting thing is, without even having studied or trained yourself for them. You know the mantras, your eyes are glowing, skin is soft and good for you and the body gives off a very balanced aroma.
